ENG 20500 Themes in British Literature I

A thematic survey of British literature from Anglo-Saxon, Middle English, Renaissance, 17th century and 18th century periods. Such major writers as Chaucer, Shakespeare, Milton, Donne, Pope and Swift will be studied to show developing perspectives on such themes as love, belief, order, leadership, work, justice, aesthetics and humor. Fulfills literature requirement for AA degree.
