SPE 20400 Debate Fundamentals

This performance-based course is a step-by-step guide to debate. Students will learn how to effectively advocate a position and how to critically analyze and respond to other's positions. The class will develop technical skills such as the ability to identify fallacies of reasoning as well as the artistic skills of storytelling and drama to effectively frame your case. The practice of debate develops critical thinking and presentation skills that are useful in personal life, school and business. Highly recommended for pre-law students.
