SPE 22500 Introduction to Audiology

Students will explore the world of Audiology and the concepts of how the hearing mechanism functions throughout the human lifespan. Terms and concepts related to audiology, hearing loss types and causes, assessments and therapeutic planning will be discussed. Equipment used to evaluate hearing problems, audiograms, and the role of the Audiologist will be examined.
