CRJ 21200 Forensic Death Investigation

This course introduces students to the role of the medical examiner and the forensic death investigation. Course topics includes death scene investigations, the forensic autopsy, time of death estimation, blunt and sharp force injuries and patterns, firearm injuries, motor vehicle and transportation fatalities, asphyxial deaths, drug related deaths, forensic anthropology, child fatalities and special investigations. Scientific investigation and analysis of data will be included.
