CFS 16200 Shakespeare on Screen

This course will examine the adaptation of Shakespeare's work from stage to screen. A brief historical background on Shakespeare, analysis of the longevity of his work and the motivation by directors to adapt them for the screen will be utilized. Examination and critical analysis of many screen adaptations from Oliver, Welles, Branagh and others will also be utilized. Guest speakers will be used when available.
