Program Description:
The Associate of Applied Science degree in Information Technology is designed to equip students with the essential skills and knowledge needed to provide effective technical support for computer systems and users. Coursework includes commonly used business applications, operating systems, networks, ethics and security, helping prepare students for successful careers in the rapidly growing field of computer support and IT services.
Program Learning Outcomes:
Upon successful completion of this program, students will be able to:
- Demonstrate proficiency in the use of common computer application
- Develop the skills necessary to install and configure computer hardware, software and operating systems
- Demonstrate the ability to configure wired and wireless networks
- Implement measures to defend against cyber threats
- Develop technical and customer service skills for Information Technology positions
