PSY 21300 Psychology of Adolescence
Explore human development during adolescence with attention given to the social, emotional, cognitive, and physical factors that confront the individual. Psychological theories relating to the special concerns of adolescents will be discussed. Among the specific challenges and problems discussed: identity, independence and rebellion, peer pressures and friendships, mental health and addiction, sexuality, career choices, family conflicts, emotional and social development, adolescent culture, subculture, and alienation.
