ENR 20400 Engineering Dynamics

Analysis of the forces acting on non-static objects and the resulting motion. Builds on the concepts learned in Engineering Statics and prepares students for advanced courses in multibody dynamics, vibrations, and fluid dynamics. Students develop methods for describing position, velocity, and acceleration in a variety of coordinate systems for objects in translation and rotation. Motion is analyzed using energy methods, impulse-momentum, and systems of forces. Concludes with an introduction to free and forced vibrations.
