THR 15200 Improvisation II

Students will continue to examine the actor’s ability to improvise for the theatre. This course is based upon celebrated Improviser, Viola Spolin’s premise that improvisation is an important tool for the contemporary actor. This course continues to explore the historical development and practical application of improvisational skills and processes in a performance setting through theatre ‘games’ and other means of initiating scenarios and storytelling without use of rehearsal or scripts.
