HPW 21600 Wellness and Yoga

Students will have an opportunity to reinforce and master an overall understanding of fitness and wellness. This will be achieved by applying skills necessary to make fitness and wellness with an emphasis on Yoga. This course offers an opportunity to participate in a physical activity in an environment where outside stimuli are reduced providing the student maximum opportunity to concentrate on the unique movements of Yoga. Yoga is a discipline of exercises that are designed to improve and maintain physical, mental and spiritual well-being and aid in reducing the effects of stress. The exercises are complemented by modes of deep breathing, concentration and relaxation, and visual techniques.
