DAN 11200 Modern Dance I

A beginning class in Modern Dance without previous training. This class provides basics in technique, terminology, and history of Modern Dance founders. Students will research the history of various founding choreographers/dancers and briefly study the corresponding movement, method, and/or style. Instruction includes exercises for developing proper dance alignment, flexibility, and coordination, a sense of rhythm and strength as well an exploration of personal expression through movement.
