MAT 10010 Quantitative Literacy

The purpose of this course is to provide students with an understanding of, and an ability to apply, important mathematical concepts in practical situations rather than memorizing procedures. Students will learn concepts in mathematical communication, quantitative and numerical reasoning using simple proportional, algebraic and statistical models. This course is not intended for students who plan to major in math, science, engineering, technology or business.
