HLT 11100 Introduction to Health Professions

This course is designed for the student considering or pursuing a health professional career. The student will be exposed to various topics including the role and responsibilities of health professionals, the environments in which health professionals are employed, the importance of effective communication skills as well as legal and ethical concerns of the health practitioner. The course provides a theoretical foundation for the health professional as a member of the multidisciplinary healthcare team.
