ART 12000 Art History: Renaissance to Present

Explore the exhilarating evolution of Western art from the Renaissance to the global art world today. Students will investigate the major works of painting, sculpture and architecture, and other new media, produced by Western cultures during this time span. The course will emphasize understanding art as a reflection of the distinctive social, political, religious and economic issues of their creators and their times.
