PER 25600 Theatrical Stage Combat: Broadsword and Shield

The actor must combine specific techniques with timing and controlled movement in order to effectively and safely create the illusion of violence. It is the objective of this class to develop skills that will enable the student to create the illusion of reality through theatrically staged violence, that will look convincing and be safe, while telling a story on stage. Course culminates in a Society of American Fight Directors (SAFD) adjudicated Skills Proficiency Test.
