CMT 10100 Sustainable Construction Management

This is an introduction to sustainable practices during building construction and design. Students will learn about sustainable materials and methods, energy efficiency and how sustainable construction reduces carbon dioxide emissions. Green building industry rating systems LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) and the Living Building Institute standards will be discussed. Case studies from around the world will be evaluated and used to illustrate current trends in green construction.
