AUT 22000 Automotive Heating and Air Conditioning

A study of heat flow and heat transfer, including change of state as applied to heating/air conditioning systems and climate-controlled automotive environments. Students will test, service and repair heating and cooling systems following EPA regulations. Manufacturers' testing and diagnostic procedures will be used to adjust and repair components for proper performance and conformity with EPA regulations and inspection requirements. Students are required to pass the EPA Section 609 certification exam. This course helps prepare students for the ASE examination for Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC).
