ARA 10100 Elementary Arabic I

Elementary Arabic I (ARA 10100) is the first semester of a one-year course for students with no previous knowledge of Modern Standard Arabic, the form of Arabic taught in the Arabic-speaking world from Morocco to the Arab Gulf states. It is designed to provide beginning students with a basic foundation of listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills as well as an introduction to the diversity of Arab cultures. This course stresses oral and written communication. Students will work individually and in pairs as well as being able to access online activities and videos.
