ANR 10100 Cultural Anthropology Honors

Students will learn central concepts and major research methods in Cultural Anthropology. Using cross-cultural perspectives, the course examines the values, behavior and social relationships associated with a wide range of marriage and kinship systems, religions, economic and political institutions. By studying human diversity, the course will foster students’ intercultural understanding, increase their global awareness and stimulate concern about the issues of cultural change and continuity. Students will engage in original research and will present their findings to the class.
