The AAS degree in Computer Support Services is for students who want to work in the technology field as computer support technicians. Computer support specialists provide help and advice to people and organizations using computer software or hardware (equipment). Technical support specialists provide support for information technology (IT) employees within their organization and help-desk technicians assist non-IT users who are having computer problems. The AAS degree in Computer Support Services provides students with a broad-based technology background in preparation for a career as a computer support technician, help-desk administrator, network technician and more. Students pursuing a bachelor’s degree may be required to take additional general education courses to attain full status as a college junior.
